Today my my official first day back in the studio and I started the year out with an indoor family session! I don’t usually do indoor family sessions, but with the weather being so unpredictable and having little ones, we decided to try it out in studio. Here are a few sneak peeks from the session!
Well Hello!
For those of you who don’t know, I took it kind of slow last year and then took some time off from mid November until now, to have my baby girl Ruby! We are so excited that she is finally here! I am also super excited to get back to work!
What better way to start the new year, then to revamp the business! I’ve updated the website, I have a new blog template AND I am now doing natural light photography!! I am so excited about taking this leap into natural light and I hope you will take the leap and follow my journey on here! I would also like to thank my AMAZING step-sister-in-law Tonia Lariviere from Delicate Impressions, for helping me take the leap into natural light!
I’ve never been much of a blogger but that’s going to change this year! I want to be able to let you get to know me a little better as well as post sneak peeks for my clients without Facebook ruining the quality of my pictures! From now on I will post sneak peeks on the blog and then post a link on the Facebook page. Sometimes it will only be 1 or 2 pictures, sometimes more. I will also post information on upcoming sales, contests, and mini sessions on here so be sure to subscribe!!
Now… without further ado… Here are some pictures I took of my sweet baby girl when she was 3 weeks old! (Please note that it is very rare for a 3 week old to cooperate as well for pictures as a newborn would, so if you are considering bringing your new baby in for pictures, I consider newborn to be under the age of 2 weeks… Between 7-10 days old is best!)

Colton came for his photo debut at 12 days new and I was sure I was going to have a fight on my hands! Mom had posted some pictures of the little guy on facebook over the 12 days before be came to see me, and every single picture… he was wide awake! Session started out with him wide awake… and all I could think about was “Oh no… this is going to be a long one!” But after a few wide awake pictures and a quick feeding, he gave in and slept like a champ!! He also gave me so many sleepy smiles ( my favourite) AND when we tried to pose him holding his head up I thought there was so way it was happening because he was so squirmy! BUT he did it! And not only did he do it for a quick few pictures, he held the post for a good 3-5 minutes with multiple hat changes! Colton you were awesome!!
This was the attitude he decided to give me at the beginning of the session
Here is one of those awesome smiles I told you about!! Doesn’t that just melt your heart?! Makes me wonder what they dream about! Yes I believe they dream… it’s not gas! lol
